It was only Friday when I wrote my last post, outlining our plan to stay open as normally as possible within certain limitations.
How times change...
On Sunday morning we received a communiction from the British Dental Association, the professional body for dentists, which was marked 'URGENT'. It contained a lot of information but for us the key line was
"...we recommend that practices cease routine dentistry and operate an advice and emergency service only."
As of today, I deeply regret to say we are cancelling patients for the foreseeable future, and arranging for an urgent/emergency service only to be running. Our dentists and nurses will be working in limited numbers on a rota system to ensure that we have the minimum number of patients and staff in the building, to reduce the risk of spreading Covid-19 in Sleaford.
We would ask that you are understanding at this time. We'd love to be able to carry on as normal but for the sake of our staff, our patients, and society at large we feel this is the right thing to do.
If you have an appointment in the near future we will be contacting you shortly to cancel this, and at the moment we have no idea when we can re-book for.
