Mouth Cancer Action Month

OK, I'm a bit late to this one as well, but it's really important: November is Mouth Cancer Action Month!

Organised by the Oral Health Foundation and sponsored by Denplan, Mouth Cancer Action Month seeks to increase public awareness of the risk factors, signs and symptoms of mouth cancer, and encourages everybody visit their dentist regularly to help catch the disease early.

Mouth cancer can often be spotted in its early stages by a dentist during a mouth examination and, if caught early, there is a 90 percent chance of survival. At Rose Cottage we always check for any concerning signs, such as long-standing ulcers, red or white patches in the mouth, or other unexplained lumps or bumps. We're also happy to discuss lifestyle factors that can increase your risk such as smoking.
